San Jacinto College Center for Industrial Technology

The new Center for Industrial Technology opened in 2017 on the North Campus of San Jacinto College as a place where academia, innovative technology and private industry come together to address the gap in advanced vocational training, better equipping students for long-term success with skills and training that businesses need today. The new facility, built on the former site of the Almeda Replacement School, is 114,000 sq ft of modern classroom and educational space, two-story labs, and technology bays where students can earn entry-level certificates and credits as well as associate degrees in high-demand fields.

M2L worked with architect Huitt–Zollars to provide a site landscape plan, hardscape design, and softscape and irrigation design for the project, based on an overall master plan. Included in the plan were a welcoming and dramatic entrance, several patio and bench areas for outdoor gathering, and low-maintenance plantings throughout the property.
