Hearthstone is a master-planned golf course community in northwest Harris County, just 20 miles from downtown Houston and 10 miles north of the Energy Corridor. Originally opened in 1977 in the rapidly growing Cypress area, the community is now recognized for its large, mature trees and beautiful, winding green spaces. With 1,011 properties on more than 1,400 acres, Hearthstone offers residents affordable country-club living that emphasizes health, wellness and outdoor activities surrounding a championship golf course. The Hearthstone Homeowners Association (HOA) aimed to preserve property values and enhance the community’s natural surroundings.

M2L responded with a new master plan and a complete landscape renovation, updating community entrances and key signage with fresh plantings and themed imagery. Centering the design around a fireplace hearth theme, M2L incorporated graphics and used earthy materials to create a strong sense of place and pride. From stonework and monuments to the vibrant colors and lush foliage of the native plantings, every element of the plan enhances Hearthstone’s many natural amenities and ensures the community’s continued success for future generations.
