Harwin Park Trail

Harwin Park, in the Alief–Westwood neighborhood of southwest Houston, was acquired by the Houston Parks and Recreation Department in 1989. The 10-acre park in northeast Alief runs along Harwin Drive and the Westpark Tollway near the intersection with Wilcrest Drive, and already included a picnic area, playground, and open grassy fields for a variety of outdoor activities before the trail was added.

To create the new trail, M2L delivered a site master plan as well as trail and softscape design. The Harwin Park Trail winds for a mile through the park among carefully preserved trees as well as new trees for additional shade, providing park users with better accessibility and increased opportunities for exercise and outdoor activities.
