M2L Associates has been selected by the Houston Parks Board to design a 3.1-mile section of Sims Bayou Hike and Bike Trail, a greenway and developing trail along Sims Bayou that connects neighborhoods and residents in southern Houston with parks and recreation amenities and opportunities to enjoy nature and sweeping city views.
This section will complete the trail from Buffalo Speedway east to Beltway 8 and then connect to the Houston Sports Park to the north. The section of Sims Bayou starts at Townwood Park, a project previously designed by M2L, and runs along the northern bank. An elevated spoils area east of Almeda Road provides panoramic views of the bayou and downtown Houston.
